Copaken Brooks, along with A2 Advertising and Faultless Starch/Bon Ami Co., is pleased to announce A2 Advertising’s relocation and new lease at 1009 W 8th Street, Kansas City, Mo. A2 Advertising is relocating from Overland Park and will occupy 4,025 square feet on the fourth floor of the historically renovated building, also known as the Sewall Paint Building.
“We were looking for a space that represented who we are as a company,” said Mary Sherwood, executive vice president at A2. “The building has a great creative look and is part of a vibrant location which moves us closer to all of the activity happening in and around downtown.”
A2 looked at spaces near downtown Kansas City including the Crossroads, River Market and West Bottoms. The five-story, 58,000-square-foot historic building was built in 1903 and renovated in 2009. It includes first floor event space as well as the corporate offices for Faultless Starch/Bon Ami Co. This is the building’s first lease to a company not affiliated with Faultless Starch/Bon Ami.
As the landlord, we are considerate about our tenant mix and want to make sure tenants are a good fit with the building,” said Scott Brown, general counsel at Faultless Starch/Bon Ami. “We are excited to welcome A2 Advertising and know they will add to the creative energy of the building and the West Bottoms.”
A2 Advertising is a marketing communications agency that specializes in brand strategies and increased market shares for independent retailers, such as Hen House, with market coverage across the Midwest and southeast regions. In addition to the Kansas City office, they also have an office in Nashville.
A2 Advertising was represented by Molly Crawford with Copaken Brooks. The landlord, Faultless Starch/Bon Ami Co., was represented by Ryan Biery, SIOR, also with Copaken Brooks.
