Vice President, Development and Construction

With more than $250 million in projects currently underway, Aaron oversees all aspects of the development, entitlement, debt and equity processes for Copaken Brooks. He is currently responsible for Midwest Gateway, a half-million square foot speculative industrial project at the doorstep of the BNSF Intermodal in Edgerton, Kansas, as well as a build-to-suit project for Grundfos, a leading supplier of pump solutions. Aaron recently delivered Corrigan Station, a 140,000 square foot development involving the rehabilitation of a historic office building and construction of a 277-car parking garage which were completed in December 2016. Phase 1 of the project was delivered under budget, and planning for Phase 2 is currently underway.

 
Prior to joining Copaken Brooks, Aaron managed development and private equity investment projects involving Fortune 500 clients including General Electric, Sony, Diageo, and Halliburton across North American and Europe. He served as the Development Manager at W.W. Reynolds on several noteworthy projects along the Colorado front range including: a $250 million, 950,000 square foot corporate campus for a $2 billion client in Fort Collins, Colorado, and a historic building located in the Lower Downtown area of Denver that was the first in the nation to receive two LEEDTM certifications. Aaron’s experience also includes conducting the business site due diligence for greenfield manufacturing facilities in Monterey, Mexico, and the entitlement and development of a combined 45-acre parcel for the Midwest Gateway project in Edgerton, Kansas.
 
In 2015, Aaron was recognized as part of ULI’s NEXT Global 100, a group of 100 individuals from around the globe who have made notable contributions to their field. In 2017, he was named one of Kansas City’s top 25 NextGen Leaders by the Kansas City Business Journal and a “Top Connector” by The Kansas City Connector Project.
