BIOGRAPHY

Tony Granillo joined Copaken Brooks as a Development Manager in 2024, where he leads the development of several large projects that will significantly shape the Kansas City skyline. With a diverse and extensive background in real estate development, engineering consulting, and project management, Tony brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the firm.

Before joining Copaken Brooks, Tony founded Nillo Development, LLC, where he was responsible for syndicating funds, overseeing the construction of data centers, and providing development and engineering services for oil and gas power plants. His role also included analyzing investment proformas, generating leads for potential investments, land acquisition, site evaluations, entitlement, due diligence, construction management, and stakeholder relationships. In addition to his real estate endeavors, Tony served as a technical expert for combined cycle power plants, renewables, and industrial plants, managing on-site projects, constructability, and commissioning.

Tony’s industrial real estate development experience is highlighted by his time at NorthPoint Development, where he managed the 2.1 million square foot ($280+ million) Foster Commerce Industrial Development from conception to completion, as well as handled Tenant Improvement projects in the Kansas City market. His responsibilities included comprehensive project management, due diligence, stakeholder communications, and business development within the San Antonio market. He played a crucial role in managing city council relationships, brokers, zoning approvals, budget management, and consultant and contractor coordination. He was the point person for analyzing any acquisition for NorthPoint within the San Antonio market.

Earlier in his career, Tony worked as a Lead Electrical Engineer and Project Manager at Kiewit Engineering, leading teams on major projects, including a $1.485 billion solar farm and several multi-million dollar energy projects. His expertise in electrical engineering, strategic planning, client relationship management, and on-site commissioning has equipped him with a comprehensive skill set that will be invaluable in his current position at Copaken Brooks.
