(Kansas City, Kan.) Copaken Brooks is excited to announce the expansion of MVP Law’s office at 10 East Cambridge Circle. MVP is increasing its Kansas office from 26,273 to 38,485 square feet, leasing two full floors of the three-story office building. This office sits adjacent to the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri, office just across the state line at 2700 Bi-State Drive.

Founded in 1901, MVP Law – formerly McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips – serves clients throughout the Midwest in workers’ compensation defense, employment law, public sector law, civil litigation & insurance defense, and business litigation & transactions. Last year, the firm opened offices in West Des Moines, Iowa, and Springfield, Illinois, to accommodate demand and now touts more than 65 attorneys and a support staff of more than 150 people across eight offices.

“Our firm was founded 119 years ago in downtown Kansas City, Kansas, and while we’ve expanded far beyond our humble roots, it remains important that we have a strong presence in Wyandotte County,” said Phil Sanders, Chief Operating Officer at MVP Law. “We’ve appreciated the care Copaken Brooks has put into the management of this building, and we’re excited to continue building relationships and providing skillful representation here.”

Despite being two years out from their lease expiration, MVP chose to extend its lease at its Kansas location for an additional 10 years. Vice President of Leasing Jeremiah Dean worked with MVP to restructure the deal:
